The Bana Cathedral

Exceptional specimen of early medieval architecture in the rarely visited northern Şenkaya district of Erzurum province. The construction date is unknown, but might be as early as the 7th century. The extraordinary aisled tetraconch design, almost round, is supposedly inspired by the Zvartnots cathedral near Yerevan, Armenia.
